OUR MISSION
The mission of the Racine Zoological Society is to foster an enlightening and affordable wildlife experience that improves the bond between people and nature. The Society will provide for the recreation and education of the people, the conservation of wildlife and wild places, and the advancement of science.

HOURS OF OPERATION
The Racine Zoo is open, every day, 365 days a year.

9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.* - Last admission at 7:00 p.m.
*Closing times are subject to change due to special events and other Zoo programming.

FEES
Current Admission Fees:
Members - FREE
Children under 3 - FREE
Adults - $6.00
Seniors (62 plus) - $5.00
Children (3-15 years of age) - $4.00
Racine County residents receive $1.00 admission every Monday with photo identification containing home address.

LOCATION
The Racine Zoo is located at 2131 North Main Street in Racine, Wisconsin, along the sandy shores of beautiful Lake Michigan.

GROUP RATES
Discount admission rates and free bus parking are available for all groups. If you are planning a field trip for your school or group associated with education (i.e. Scouts), please click here. All churches, businesses, civic organizations, service clubs, family reunions or friendly get-togethers for groups of 20 or more receive $2.00 off admission rate from April 1 until October 31. You must call our Marketing Department at least two weeks in advance of your visit at 262-636-9312.

ZOO MANNERS

  • Please do not feed or tease the animals. They are on special diets and anything you feed us could make them sick.
  • Many of the animals are still very wild. For safety's sake, please stay behind the guardrails. Please do not reach into exhibits.
  • Please do no throw anything into the exhibits. Even simple objects can be very hazardous if the animals swallow them.
  • Roller skates or roller blades, skateboards, scooters, heelies and bicycles are prohibited in the Zoo.
  • No dogs or pets are permitted on Zoo campus with the exception of assistance dogs for people with physical challenges.
  • Please wear proper attire, including shirts and shoes, when you visit.
  • The animals and the campus is here for everybody to enjoy. Please be considerate of others' wishes to enjoy their experience, too.
  • You can take still photos or videos of the animals and campus for personal use but permission is required for all photos or video filmed for commercial purposes, and must be obtained in advance from the Zoo's marketing department.
  • Per Racine Municipal Ordinance 70-79, no persons except for police officers and other law enforcement officers are permitted to carry any firearm onto Zoo campus.
