Starting this weekend, if you don’t see the Pride of Racine lion cubs in their indoor home for the past few weeks, be sure to visit the outdoor lion exhibit to the East of the Vanishing Kingdom historic building. There you are likely to see them with both mom and dad, Elsa and Aslan, as they are now big enough to handle the terrain and steps to get in and out of their off-exhibit area. Expect lots of play and romping from the Pride of Racine presented by Johnson Bank!

Great Weekend!
June 2nd, 2010We hope all the members who caught a glimpse of the Pride of Racine lion cubs last Thursday night hade a great time. We had record-setting attendance at the Members Appreciation event! Saturday was a perfect day for the Pride to go on exhibit for the public. Too bad they were a little bit shy! If you missed them, be sure to visit again. As they get more comfortable with an audience, they are sure to be fun to watch!

Ready to Go!
May 27th, 2010Racine Zoo Animal Care Specialists allowed the cubs to have access to their exhibit this morning before the Zoo opened. While tentative, they were visible and mom seemed to give her “approval” to venture out!
